In early March, the E Ink team traveled to Munich, Germany to attend LOPEC, the world’s leading exhibition and conference for flexible, organic, and printed electronics. This year had an impressive turnout with a total of 176 exhibitors and more than 2,400 visitors from around the world.

At the show, E Ink’s booth stayed busy, with visitors getting a firsthand look at the latest ePaper innovations on display, including Prism 3, Spectra 6, Kaleido 3, and more.
Some of the exciting applications first seen at CES 2024 back in January, such as the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x Gen 4 SPE and Infinix’s E-Color Shift smartphone, made their way overseas to showcase the smart surface capabilities of E Ink’s Prism 3 technology. These dynamic concept devices are redefining personalization and self-expression, offering a glimpse into the future of customization.

In addition to consumer technology use cases, E Ink showed off its impressive retail and signage-specific applications that deliver vivid, saturated color displays. E Ink Spectra 6, which features an enhanced color spectrum and an advanced color imaging algorithm to provide full color, improves marketing and advertising performance due to its ability to display eye-catching text and images in-store.

Armin Wittmann, LOPEC exhibition director, shared that sustainability was a recurring theme throughout the event this year. E Ink’s commitment to sustainability is clear, and as reflected in our booth at the show, we are proud of the steps taken to become a more environmentally friendly company.
E Ink was the world’s first display technology to receive the Dark Sky Certification from the International Dark Sky Association, helping to combat the rising issue of light pollution. Additionally, the company is a member of The Climate Pledge and the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). As a member of The Climate Pledge, E Ink is committed to becoming net-zero carbon by 2040. The SBTi promotes best practices in emission reductions and net zero targets in line with climate science, and as of Sept. 2023, SBTi has classified E Ink’s scope 1 and scope 2 target ambition as in line with a 1.5˚C trajectory.
