E Ink at LOPEC 2026: Hands-On Innovation and Dynamic Design

Written by Allison Hyers | 2026-03-06

LOPEC 2026 was an exciting opportunity for E Ink to showcase not only our latest display technologies, but also the creativity and collaboration that drive innovation in the flexible electronics space. From interactive workshops to immersive product demonstrations, this year’s event highlighted how E Ink continues to push the boundaries of electronic paper.

Inspiring Creativity at the Design@LOPEC Workshop

We kicked off LOPEC by supporting the Design@LOPEC workshop, where participants explored the versatility of E Ink displays through hands-on experimentation. Attendees received Prism 3 kits, provided by Soldered, complete with software and housing components to continue building after the event.

Participants created inventive product concepts using Prism Black and White displays, cutting them into custom shapes and even sewing through them, demonstrating the flexibility and design freedom that E Ink technology enables.

Innovation on Display at the Booth

At our booth, visitors experienced the breadth of the E Ink ecosystem across consumer electronics, automotive, retail, and design applications. Highlights included the vibrant E Ink Marquee display for dynamic signage, a tiled Prism demo from SEEKINK, digital picture frames such as the Aura Ink, Reflection Frame, and the 28.5” InkPoster.

We also showcased the Cream Guitars DaVinci, in addition to an exploded-layer demo that revealed the components that make up the product. In addition, we presented an automotive interior concept developed with Marquardt and Covestro that featured a leather-textured Prism car door panel. Soldered demonstrated their Prism and Spectra development kits, while attendees explored a variety of eReaders, eNotes, Electronic Shelf Labels, and other E Ink enabled products.

Leading the Conversation

In addition to our booth presence, E Ink leadership played an active role in the LOPEC conference program. Pete Valianatos, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at E Ink, also took the stage alongside Marquardt for the conference keynote to present on our partnership, E Ink technology, and how electronic paper enables unique product creativity. Their session highlighted how our collaboration is unlocking new design possibilities across industries and shaping the future of printed electronics. Additionally, Edzer Huitema, CTO at E Ink and Session Chair for User Interfaces, Displays and Lighting, helped guide discussions around the future of display and interface technologies.

Driving the Future of Electronic Paper

LOPEC remains a key event for flexible and printed electronics, and this year reinforced E Ink’s role in enabling design-forward applications. From hands-on experimentation to real-world product integration, we were proud to demonstrate how E Ink transforms surfaces into dynamic, intelligent displays.
