The result is the DaVinci guitar, the world’s first color-changing guitar powered by E Ink Prism. This collaboration blends advanced materials science with professional guitar craftsmanship, creating a new way for musicians to express themselves visually without compromising sound or performance. This collaboration was shown in person at NAMM 2026.     *Source: E Ink*   **What Is the DaVinci?** The DaVinci by Cream Guitars is an electric guitar featuring an integrated E Ink Prism ePaper display across its body. Unlike painted finishes or LED-based effects, the E Ink surface is non-emissive and glare-free, allowing the guitar to look natural under any lighting conditions. Players can change colors and patterns on demand, making the instrument visually adaptable to different stages, songs, or moods.   ![IMG_1327](https://blog.eink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_1327.jpg?width=500&height=333&name=IMG_1327.jpg) *Source: Cream Guitars*   **How E Ink Prism Technology Transforms Guitar Design** E Ink Prism technology is known for its ultra-low power operation and paper-like appearance, qualities that make it uniquely suited for musical instruments. In the DaVinci, the display becomes part of the instrument’s identity rather than an add-on. The surface remains cool, durable, and easy to view under bright stage lights, enabling musicians to experiment with visual expression without distraction. This approach opens the door to a new category of smart instruments where form, function, and personalization coexist seamlessly.   ![IMG_1352](https://blog.eink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_1352.jpg?width=500&height=333&name=IMG_1352.jpg) *Source: Cream Guitars*   **A New Way for Artists to Express Their Identity** For many musicians, a guitar is an extension of their creative identity. The DaVinci allows artists to change their guitar’s appearance instantly, aligning it with lighting, branding, or performance themes. This level of customization removes the limitations of static finishes and introduces a new dimension of storytelling through design. By merging digital flexibility with analog performance, the DaVinci redefines what a guitar surface can do.   **DaVinci Guitar at NAMM** Cream Guitars showcased the DaVinci and demonstrating how electronic paper technology is reshaping instrument design at NAMM, January 22–24, in Anaheim, CA. The DaVinci was a huge hit among attendees and other exhibitors!   **Pre-Order the DaVinci Today** The DaVinci marks the beginning of a new era for instruments.
