As the first commercially available product to integrate E Ink Prism 3, it introduces a new era of dynamic surfaces, low-power display technology, and programmable customization. [With preorders now live](https://shop.creamguitars.com/products/davinci), the DaVinci stands as a milestone in dynamic materials, ePaper innovation, and next-generation instrument design.   **![](https://blog.eink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Dec-03-2025-08-06-28-7328-PM.png?width=500&height=334&name=image-png-Dec-03-2025-08-06-28-7328-PM.png)** *Source: Cream Guitars* **The Display Technology Behind the DaVinci Guitar** [E Ink Prism 3](https://www.eink.com/brand/detail/Prism3) is an advanced color-changing ePaper technology designed for product integration, architectural surfaces, and embedded smart design. Unlike traditional displays, Prism 3 is non emissive, ultra-low power, durable, and fully programable, enabling patterns, animations, and color shifts. For the DaVinci, this means the guitar’s entire surface becomes a dynamic digital skin, allowing musicians to personalize the instrument’s design instantly.   *Source: Cream Guitars* **Why the DaVinci Guitar Is a Breakthrough in Tech & Innovation** The DaVinci combines style, efficient display technology, and high-quality construction in a single groundbreaking guitar. Musicians can change colors and patterns instantly without repainting, while the ePaper surface uses power only when updating, making more efficient and more sustainable than LED-based systems. Built on Cream Guitars’ ergonomic Voltage body with precision electronics, the DaVinci delivers dynamic aesthetics without compromising tone or performance.   ![](https://blog.eink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Dec-03-2025-08-14-49-6727-PM.png?width=500&height=333&name=image-png-Dec-03-2025-08-14-49-6727-PM.png) *Source: Cream Guitars* **DaVinci Preorders and Availability** The DaVinci is now available at an introductory preorder price of $2,500 for the first 100 units before moving to its standard retail price of $3,500, and it will make its public showcase at NAMM 2026 in Anaheim from January 22–24. This launch marks a major milestone for both E Ink and Cream Guitars and signals an exciting step forward for the future of smart, sustainable product design. This guitar showcases how E Ink ePaper technology can transform not just screens, but the physical world around us. By integrating Prism 3 into a professional instrument, E Ink and Cream Guitars demonstrate what’s possible when material science, product design, and creative technology converge. The future of musical instruments is dynamic, programmable, sustainable, and visually expressive.
